messenger in background during Allied Assault

how do you keep messenger going, in the game it seems there is no tool bar
in the bottom of the screen so anytime someone msg's me i have to close the
game and it is really annoying

Messenger will keep running in the background, but the game doesn't really
allow you to chat on Messenger while blasting away your foes. :-) This is a
feature of the game, to make sure that no other application takes the focus
away while you're playing. It's a design decision.

I don't believe there's anything you can really do to change it. You'd have
to check with Electronic Arts, the game manufacturer, to see if there's any
way around it.
