Help and Support

I have been using Windows since 3.11. I just installed XP last night, a
Clean install after having Win98, reformatted HD, install XP just using
win98 disk as qualifying disk.
I have been all over looking for the answer to this one. Help and
Support does not work It does not work from the Start Menu. F1 does not
work. The curser gets the hourglass for a few seconds, the HD light gets
lit for a few seconds and nothing. I don't even remember what I was going
to look up in Help.
I went into Administrative Tools/Services and started looking at
dependencies, got sick of that and started everything I could. Application
Management would not start; Error 126: The specified module could not be
found.
Human Interface Device Access would not start; Error 126. Smart Card Helper
would not start; Error: the dependency service or group failed to start.
Properties says it has no dependencies.
I tried starting/restarting Help and Support countless times, no joy.
Now, if somebody would tell me what simple thing I need to do to fix this, I
will be a happy camper until the next opportunity.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I sent this yesterday, went looking, it wasn't there. Hope it
makes it this time.

Your reply was sure quick. And the fix was even quicker. Bingo! It
was EasyCleaner. I ran the Script and it restored the Registry.
I really appreciate the help. Now, after all this screwing around if I
could remember what I originally went to Help for. Oh well. Thank you very
much.
