Hi NG,
can anyone tell me where I can get a decent Partition manager program for
little(if not free) money? I'm writing from germany and all the software
that I can get here is in german. I am fairly comfortable with the german
language, however when it comes to monkeying around with my harddrive; I'd
sooner have a program in english.
The demo or shareware programs that one can download, do they normally do
the trick? What are the disadvantages of taking a shareware or Demo in
regards to a partition manager?
thanks
Earl

I use (having contributed to Beta Testing) BootIT NG, from
http://www.BootitNG.com ($35 shareware - 30 day full functional trial)
This is a very well developed product that will do all the partition
work you will need (except converting NTFS to FAT), plus boot management
- its original intention - and imaging of partitions for backup (which
it will do to CD or DVD sets as well. As it works entirely standalone,
through the BIOS, it is independent of there being any OS but still
manages a workable GUI, if not as easy for the naive user as more
expensive products
