Hi. I've got a problem with pop-ups. I installed the pop-up detector "Spybot SD", but it could find this particular pop-up. Everytime I start my computer, the same pop-up appears. It's URL Address is: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/offcancl.htm#http
://www.ihatepops.com/pop.htm I opened the file... but i'm not sure if I should delete: shdoclc.dll or not. Is it okay to delete that file, or are there any other ways to get rid of this pop-up.

If the pop-up appears when your browser is open, but is not specifically
associated with the page you're presently visiting, then you're right that
some sort of adware is almost certainly involved. You need additional tools
to the one you're using. Use the "Quick-Fix" protocol on this page:

actually it sounds like the "Spybot SD" might have
installed it's own little adware which could explain why
it doesn't find it. A good way to tell if it comes from
the spybot is if you paid money for the spybot then it
probably isn't if it was a free or shareware program it
probably is. The reason it would be if it was free is
because How else are they going to make there money.

For a "super computer genius" you sure as Hades ain't very bright! Spybot
Search and Destroy does *NOT* install spyware - and Patrick Kolla (its
developer) could consider that libellous. It is totally freeware (OK, it's
donation-ware). Suggest you go here (www.safer-networking.org) and read the
FAQ.
My mother knows more about computers than you appear to!
