Hi I am new to XP...whenever i am playing a game or doing
internet stuff XP tends to "hang" alot and freeze, causing
me to have to do a reboot..i try ctrl-alt-del first to
check to see if something is not responding but it doesn't
let me do that so i have to reboot...is this a common
thing for a new OS to do? I seeme to remember 98 did it
alot at first but then came right somehow after awhile...
all opf my programs are XP compatible (neverwinter Nights
is the game that hangs alot)
Do you have to have some amount of errors or something for
the system to settle in and get comfortable? I also have
all the service pack updates...i think...

I had this once when the system was overheating. Check the CPU temperature.
some boards have the facility to do so. Make sure the fans is working ! I
had one once that would randomly not start up ! If its overheating of the
CPU quite often CPU intensive applications - like flight sim will cause the
problem particuarly if multi-tasking.
