I read that it was not advisable to run computer as
administrator. So I created a new user. Next time I
opened my computer the original administrator had
disappeared. All of my settings and emails disappeared
too. System restore has no restore points prior to the
creation of the new user. Please help somebody

Thanks

Hi

Acutally the administrator's account is invisible to you
and that happens when you create more than one account.
The administrator;s account is never shown on the welcome
screen. to login as the administrator you must press Ctrl-
Alt-del twice at the welcome screen and then you will get
a window so taht you can login as the administrator.

And one more thing, when you create multiple accounts,
they are created seperately and hence you cannot see the
files of the other account unless they have been granted
access. So to view hte other files you can view tha
folder "Documents and Settings" in c:\ and then expand to
veiw all the users on the computer and of course access
the same provided you ahve access to the same.
