activating/registering windowsxp

PLEASE!! Could someone please help me? In "Windows xp",
now running on this new
gateway300s p.c., I wish to register and activate my
Windows XP installed on this computer. And I have the
Internet "up and running", from the "all programs"
button, from the START MENU there appears me to be
no "activate windows" selection
where my Windows XP manual on page 567 suggests
it should be, that is, just above the "Windows Catalog"
line on the popup menu for activating windows ?
Or please, where could I find the "activate windows "
selection? Sincerely, Mark Chambers, I'm not a
not a computer pro!! but a landscaper!!
