We need to know what program you're using to answer. Notepad, for example,
only does single space. Wordpad can do single or double. While both of
these programs are included in WinXP, they are very elementary. Neither of
the two include a spell checker. A full-featured word processor such as MS
Word would have spacing options and a spell checker.

Please visit link three in my signature to learn how to post to newsgroups
effectively.

If you mean OE, it doesn't have a spellcheck - you need to have an Office
application installed (please note that vanilla Works does *NOT* count).
There are several spellcheck applets that can be downloaded, but I've not
used any so I cannot vouch for their efficaciousness.

And, please, lose the caps, it's considered yelling, is extremely rude and
makes your posts incredibly hard to read.

OE has a spell check. What are you talking about?

More accurately, it has a facility for a spell check plugin.
It doesn't have an integral standalone spellchecker.
Trust me. :)

No it doesn't. Don't believe me? Try uninstalling Office/Works Suite and
then attempting to spellcheck your email or a newsgroup post. You'll see
that the spelling tab/icon is no longer available.
