I have a Toshiba Dynabook T6/518CDEy with window XP home
edition/personal.
My question is: How do I delet individual data, file or
folder individually fom R-RW CD. I copied these data
with the Drag and Drop procedure individually. Thanks to
any who can help me for this matter.

The CD Recording program in Windows XP is quite basic. It does not
allow deletion of individual files from a CR-RW CD. Only a =
sophisticated,
third-party CD Recording program can accomplish this task.
How 'bout a FREE CD Recording program that I consider better
than EZ Creator? Visit the following website for instructions on
downloading Sony's CD Extreme program and the update patch
for Windows XP:

When is the last time you used Roxio's product(s), if you ever did? I =
have used the Sony (before I bought Roxio's 5.0 Platinum, now upgraded =
to 6.0). It was buggy and didn't have the speed and features of Roxio's. =
If anything (I would get) Nero, as it is better since I have seen it on =
a friend's PC. But I didn't feel like shelling out the bucks since I had =
already had Roxio, of which I am very satisfied.

I used Roxio EZ Creator 5.0 (updated) and found it cumbersome
to use. Sony CD Extreme is superior in ease-of-use in my opinion.

Well, I guess it is opinion. The Roxio version 6.0 is really nice, =
though I do have one issue with it that doesn't occur on my ME install =
(dual-boot). If it doesn't get resolved, I will get my money back (Roxio =
confirmed it) and get Nero. I can say that 5.0 Platinum was never =
cumbersome, very fast and easy to use. No free version (even Sony's) is =
as good. If you're happy, that's what counts!

Jon I agree with you about ECDC 6 being very nice to use. It's best feature
is the autospan feature. If you have a huge file you can drag it to the
project window and it will tell you how many CDs are required and will
prompt for the next CD as the previous one fills. However I use Nero almost
exclusively as I prefer the control it gives me. Hopefully Nero will include
the auospan feature with Nero 6. I agree with Nicholas in that ECDC 5, a
step back from ECDC 4 was very buggy under XP and required a number of
updates before they seemed to get it stable. While the Sony app did not have
all the whistles of ECDC it always ran well for me and if I had to make a
choice I would use Sony CD Extreme before I would even think of using ECDC
5.

Hi,
Again, opinion here, and what serves you best is what goes. But as far =
as Roxio's version 5 (Platinum) with their latest updates going back to =
December (the update was huge, and two more ensued), the functionality =
was flawless and great. I do like the newest Nero look, and autospanning =
isn't really any issue for me (unless I really wanted to backup =
something large, but I have a big second HDD for that.) But I just =
figured out the bug for me in the Roxio version 6. The Drag n Drop =
feature is really eye candy or a pretty program so to speak, and this =
could be performed with version 5 or six without that being installed =
anyway.

The inbuilt burning does not work in the way you probably think. It
burns batches of files as 'sessions' that are more intended for CD-R and
are inherently not erasable except by erasing the disk as a whole. See
more at www.aumha.org/a/xpcd.htm

I'll go with your first sentence.
