View Full Version : limiting amount of time kids spend on computer

I'm looking for some way that I can create an automatic
time limit for daily computer usage. Is there a utility
or hidden setting that will allow me to automatically log
my son off the computer after a couple of hours each
day? He has a user account and I am administrator, but
that only limits his ability to download oddball fonts
and backgrounds from bands I've never heard of. It's not
that I don't want him to use the computer. I'd just like
him to budget his time a little better. And there are
times when I'm not around to yell at him about the
excessive number of hours spent playing games or IMing
friends.

Hi Don: Do a Google for a program called Cyber-Sitter. We use it at home and
can be configured from complete access to only certain times of the day, can
be bypassed only by someone who knows password, also has feature to see
where your kids and others are going online.

Seriously, use the 'Human Inteface'.
If you need software to control your kids activities.......the mind
boggles.
