everytime i update using the web update feature in windows
xp, it always backs up..
how do i SAFELY remove that and save some hardrive space
and all remove it from the add/remove program..so, just do
a safe remove of those backup files???

and no, i do not want to keep those files at all!

Hi,

If you are happy with the updates and do not wish to retain the option =
to uninstall them, open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows, delete the =
$NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ folder associated with it (make sure you have =
folder options/view tab set to see hidden and system files). Then go to =
add & remove in the control panel, select the hotfix for removal. You =
will get an error message, then an option to remove it from the =
listings.
