hi
I have a new hard disk which is the new C
old C has become E and so forth
apparently I can import all the email messages and fovorites from my old OE
and browser into the new setup, but where has MS hidden them?
I've used the Import command in new OE, but searched all over the old C
drive and found nothing.
Help please?
And does anyone know how to stop the helpful porn announcements popping up
in MS messenger service windows? I can cope without them,
cheers
Jon

Jon,
Check out InsideOE at Tomsterdam.com and see if anything there can help you
out.

Sorry, didn't help me, I didn't understand it.
OE offers the facility to import the data, but doesn't tell you anything
more about what data you need or where to look for it. And they charge a
fortune for their crap software!!!

Assuming WinXP on old drive:
With OE open, click on Tools> Options> Maintenance> Store Folder. It will
show you the path to your OE data files. You may have to set Folder
Options>View to show hidden files to actually see the folder in Windows
Explorer.
Favorites are in Documents and Settings\User Account\Favorites
Another alternative is using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. Run
using the customized options and select just Favorites and OE data. More
info on using this tool can be found here:
