XP Internet Explorer

When I click on the "Search" icon in Internet Explorer I
am flooded with popup ads and a sales pitch from
quickshield.com to buy their popup blocker. Does anyone
know about this and how I might stop it?

Turn on your firewall might help. Or get pop blocker software. I Use McAfee
On-Line, for Virus scan, Firewall, Pop up block. etc. Up dates constantly.
