I'm installing printers under an administrator account in Windows XP
Pro. So far so good. I run a program under a different user account
using impersonation for security purposes. What I have found is that I
can not programically select printers on the secure account until I
login to said secure account and open the printers control panel, and
logout. I only have to do this once. From then on my program can
select printers programically. If I add a new printer under the
administrator account, I have to repeat the login, control panel,
logout procedure. Is there a way to install a printer such that it
does not require loging into the alternate?

Regards,

Mike

Is this a Local Printer or a Network Printer?

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
