Hi, The instructions say to close all running programs
before installing this software, including all those in
the Windows system tray. This means the ones running in
the background, right? Using Task Manager, I can see
which ones are running, but I don't know how to turn them
off. Help! Thanks.

You click on the one that you want to end and click "End Process"

There really is no need to close all programs
running in the background prior to installing
Norton. Just close all open programs..... the only
thing you should have showing is your desktop.
