I have found a way to get rid of that nasty little problem whenever
you shutdown or logoff your XP computer that has a Corel Product
loaded.
1. First Cntrl+ALt+Del and bring up your task manager. Check for
corupd.exe in the running processes and verify that it is running.
2. Turn off the auto updates on your Corel Suite. You don't really
need them unless you are into having your computer SUPER-updated. To
do this go to Your PROGRAM BAR and go to Word Perfect Office (or other
Corel Program) then go to Technincal Support. In that list you will
find Word Perfect Office Update. Click on it and a window will pop up
called Corel Update. Click on the Never Check for Updates tick. If you
really care then you can check the Check Whenever the Application is
Started tick.
I don't really care what causes that kind of stuff to pop up as far as
memory access and all that. If I can make it go away then that's all
that matters.
I hope this helps someone.
