outlook express

i have been trying for ages to set up an outlook express
setting for myself(i am very new to all this)
i get so far,in fact i begin to think i have achevievd
this but then it tell me there is an error with host name
and smpt(or something!)how do i find out what i am
supposed to write in the boxes?
i am with btbroadband,compaq-presario,windows xp and
thats about all i know-please help this middleage
