I have just re-installed XP Professional and for some
reason when I scroll down a page such as a website or a
word document, the scroll rate is exceptionally slow and
seem to almost refresh the page for each line it scrolls.
Does anyone know how to sort this out?

Thanks for any help!

Antony;
Is this scrolling with your mouse wheel??? Do you have Intellipoint
software??? If you have Intellipoint, you can adjust this there. If you
have icon on Taskbar/right click
icon/Properties/Wheel/Scrolling/Advanced/move the slider to the right. If
no icon: Windows Explorer/+ My Computer/+ C Drive/+ Program Files/+
Microsoft Hardware/click Mouse/double click point32.exe.

Thanks for the response Wesley. It happens with the mouse
wheel as well as if I click and drag the slide bar on the
right. Any other ideas?

Thanks again.

Antony;
As far as the click and drag the side bar, no. I did a search for
scrolling in Help and Support, only returned stuff related to the mouse.
Sorry. Did you try changing any mouse settings??

Try Internet Options> Advanced> Enable smooth scrolling. Some users do well
with this on and some do better with it disabled.

As mentioned by Wesley, Control Panel> Mouse should have quite a few
settings for scrolling. In mine, I see scroll X lines at a time, Scroll one
screen at a time and a setting for accelerated scrolling.
