Very slow keyboard respnonse rate -- HELP!!!!!!!!

it takes 2 sec hold-down time per keystroke for OS to
recognize any keyboard input. other keyboards same
results. Too long ... I'm dying here... please help

Try this...Start > Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Keyboard; uncheck
all items; Apply > OK.

(tab).
Uncheck all the boxes, then click on "apply".
