Since I was infected with THE BLASTER and Norton removed
it I get strange message boxes on my desktop when I boot
up.
The first box: Wundows cannot find folled by seven empty
boes space and then 15 empty boes. "Make sure you type
the name correctly ............ I close down the box and
the 2nd box appears:
Could not load or run (same empty boxes} specified in the
registry. Make sure the file exists....you can remove the
reference to it in the registry. How can I do that? I
have been to the registry HKCU, HKLU. In current version
under microsoft\windows I found run, In HKLU I found the
following folders: Run,Run-,Runonce.exe and RunService.
This is an annoyance. I also found this unknown folder in
msconfig under startup in the last line. Can you help me?

Check in the run folder which you found in the registy see if there is a
reference to a file that appears to be unusual. Delete it. Uncheck the
reference in the msconfig. Make sure you create a system restore point
before doing this so you can go back in case their is a problem.
