Windows XP installation

When I try to install XP it says that my C drive is
corrupt and cannot be repaired and the installation is
terminated. Do I have to buy a new hardrive or is there a
way to fix this problem?

Try the following to see if it helps. Bootup in DOS and type fdisk /mbr.
Reboot and see if the XP disk works.
