printer no go

I have an Epson colour 580 printer which has worked fine, but now I receive an error...Cannot Link Common Resource DLL . I tried to delete printer but it will not delete ( there are no print jobs in queue). In the add remove programs it has a listing but
no size of files, date or any other info. It will not uninstall. It has frozen the computer when trying to uninstall or never stops searching for the drivers to uninstall. I have deleted files, reinstalled but no go. I downloaded driver but it will not wor
k. When in printer properties it will not show how much ink there is but lets you change other options. Any ideas how to remove the folder from add remove listings so it can be reinstalled. I welcome and appreciate any ideas. Thanks
