KB 832483 HotFix

When installing HotFix KB832483, an error message appears:

"The MDAC Hotfix Installer found a problem and needs to be closed."

AppName: dahotfix.exe
AppVer: 2000.90.709.0
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217
Offset: 0000b2ab

Exception Information
Code: 0x0000000000000000
Adress: 0x0000000077f5b2ab


The problem occurs in the Windows Update and the archive of installation of
the Patch.
Patch is not installed. Windows Update informs me that it was installed, but
when coming back the site it again is listed as critical update.


Allready installed in my system:
MDAC 2.8, Jet Service Pack 8 and all critical updates (except this KB832483)

This hotfix appears to be a bit of a horror. Here is a link to a
google.groups.com search that has a lot of info on the patch. You might like
to filter it further to include only stuff relavent to your installation,
but I will leave that to you:
