View Full Version : No dual monitor support available? ATI AGP & PCI cards...

Setup:
Dell PowerEdge 400SC
Windows XP Professional
All in wonder 128 Pro AGP Driver ver 6.13.3279.0
Rage XL PCI Driver ver 5.10.2600.6009

Problem:
Unalbe to get dual monitor to work in newest installation.

Symptoms:
Both cards show up as functioning fine in device
manager. When going to display properties, only video
card is shown, and no option to allow multi-mon. The OS
acts as though only the AGP card is working, and
therefore does not show the correct multi-mon setup
options in display properties.

Plug Monitor 1 into AGP card, displays AGP desktop.
Plug Monitor 2 into AGP card, displays AGP desktop.
Plug Monitor 1 into PCI card, no display signal.
Plug Monirot 2 into PCI card, no display signal.

Remember, the OS shows both cards working fine (no yellow
exclamation points, no red "x"s) in device manager. Only
thing preventing multi-mon is the display settings page
that only shows AGP card.

Also, had these two cards working as multi-mon in older,
Frankenstein machine with Windows XP.

Any ideas how to make Display Settings work properly to
allow me to "extend desktop on this monitor"?

TIA,
Rob
