View Full Version : Crash with Game

I've just bought a game for my pc - installed it and ran
it.
It started fine...took me through a few screens but when
the game itself started, the screen turned blue with the
message:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut
down to prevent damage to your computer
The problem seems to be caused by the following file
ati3d1ag.dll
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA"
I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game and I keep getting
the same error.
Any advice as to how to fix the problem?

Looks like it is a video card problem or conflict. Do you have the latest
driver for your video card? Have you gone to the game website to see if
there is a patch that addresses this problem?

Thanks for replying Jeff :-)
Card name: MOBILITY M6
Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Chip type: Mobility Radeon (LY)
DAC type: Internal DAC(350MHz)
....dem's the specs (I think...I'm a newbie lol)
I've checked the game website (tomb raider) and can't seem
to find anything there - I'll see if I can find a driver
for my card...stay tuned!

For this problem you need to ask and keep in touch with the game forum, not
this news group. The game forum might have users in the same boat as you and
is the place to look for announcements on patch releases.
{{{link below might be separated on two lines due to newsgroup word wrap}}}
