need to make wdb convert to xp

i had a new windows 2000 with office xp and would like to
put my old windows 98 address lists but it doesn't accept
them i've tried cd and chip downloads

Have you tried the transfer files and settings wizard that comes with WinXP?
Perhaps that will do it?
