If you just wish to remove XP you can repartition the drive. If you wish to
install another operating system you will also need to format again. If you
wish to reinstall XP then you can simply reformat. what would you like to
do?

i dont understand. do you want to revert to another os? if so, then unless
you chose to backup your installation of your other os when upgrading to xp,
then you will have to reinstall the other os. see this ms article:

may i ask why you would want to uninstall xp? it is a far superior client os
than anything ms has ever released. are you having problems? if so, then why
not try to fix the problem instead of "throwing out the baby with the
bathwater"?
