IE bar at bottom

Hi
I used to have a bar at the bottom of the IE window that showed me
connecting and secure /unsecure. Also, when i moved my mouse over a link,
the Http address would show in the left of this bar.
System WINXP Pro, IE v. 6.02800
Thsi bar has dissapeared. (is use PPPoE for connevting to Internet)
Any idea how I could get this usefill bar back ?
(OE has also such bar in bottom of window)

what causes this bar to somtimes dissappear (without toggling view|status bar)?
