Thanks in advance. Fran

I checked on 2 XP Home systems, and that option isn't there on the
right-click menu in favourites, and the organise panel doesn't help either.
Works on the start menu ok.
Is there some setting not enabled on these machines?

Your looking at the wrong Favorites menu. On the Toolbar, you have
File>Edit>View>Favorites>Tools>Help. Click on favorites to get the drop down
list of the favorites. This is the one that has the proper right click
option.

The favorites list you are looking at now, is the menu that is on the left
side of the window, this is the Favorites Explorer Bar that you get from
View/Explorer Bar/Favorites.

You can download a registry fix that will automatically alphabetize
your favorites and start menu items. Line 196, left:

Thanks Ronnie, you were right.
And there was me thinking the two lists were identical.
Thanks also Maureen, your suggestion would have been my next port of call.
Cheers,
Chek
