View Full Version : Logitech Web Cam and MSN Messenger 6.1

I recently bought a new web cam from Logitech. The Web
Cam is installed without any problems under Windows XP
Pro. I can run all the parts of the software suite
(Logitech Image Studio 7.30) and it functions perfectly.
However, everytime I try to start MSN Messenger 6.1, the
web cam video functions for about thirty seconds and then
XP hardware detection attempts to redetect the web cam,
only it does not and it freezes. Logitech support
suggested I download the latest drivers for the Web cam
(WOW! Smart people, now why did I not think of
that...!!!) or try installing the latest version of MSN
Messenger 6.1. (Sometimes if support people would read
the mails they receive they might actually be able to
answer some questions...) This is really infuriating and
I am either going to throw my web cam/expensive
paperweight out of the window, or switch to Yahoo or
something other than MSN Messenger. I do not want to use
anything other than Messenger, because I prefer it.

Suggestions anyone?
