If I delete the Windows Messenger that is part of the
Windows XP program, will that affect the MSN Messenger
6.0 that I recently downloaded. I have been reading some
of the responses to previous posts on this newsgroup and
now I am really confused. thanks in advance for any help
you can give me.

Greetings Debbie,

If you *fully* remove Windows Messenger, Remote Assistance, Whiteboard and Application
Sharing will no longer work in MSN Messenger 6.x, however the rest of MSN Messenger 6.x will
work perfectly and if you don't use these features, removing Windows Messenger shouldn't
cause you too much trouble.

Can this removal affect the Webcam functionality in
Messenger 6.1???, I'm getting a fatal error (blue screen)
when I try to send images from my webcam to my online
contacts.

thanks
