I have files that were created via chkdsk when I crashed
at various times. I can't find these files with any kind
of *.* search...but I know they're out there. Is there
some way to uncover them and erase them? Thanks!

Greg,

- what files ?
You say "you know they are out there" and yet you cannot find them.
Ensure you can see both types of hidden file (set on the view tab of Folder
Options)
