The current Start Menu consits of the entries in
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{current_username}\START MENU.

I'm aware of where they are, I just don't seem to be no rhyme or reason
as to which one xp uses for the start menu. Does xp use both, one sometimes
the other sometimes???
Thanks,
James

XP usually only is using the ALL USERS branch, but software authors
are free to put the program icons where they want to. If you are the
only user on this machine you may want to merge all items in ALL
USERS\START MENU and if icons are added in the other branch later move
them over as well. This should only happen when you install new
software.
