For reasons I cannot fathom, the Taskbar volume control
icon has disappeared from the Taskbar. I have to go to
Start/Entertainment/Volume control and make adjustments or
mute it there. What happened to the Taskbar volume icon?
This has been a hassle since I upgraded from Mellenium
Edition to XP. Many thanks!

Hi,

Click on Start >> control panel. Within the control panel click on Sound
speech and audio devices and click on 'Change the speaker settings'. On the
next dialog, check "Place volume icon in the taskbar".
