View Full Version : Using "Search" question

I've used the "search" command several times. But I think I am
missing something - I tried to find some driver files on a CD, so I
used XP's search command, and entered " *.drv " and told it to search
all files. And I tried just " drv ". I then told it to look in
hidden files too, but it came up with none. Then my father took the
CD and looked at it in DOS with his old computer, using the old
favorite "X-tree". Sure enough, there were several files on the cd
that ended in " .drv ".

Am I not using the search command correctly? Or is XP's search
command flawed?
