I keep getting a message from Microsoft that I need to download and install
kb 832483.I download and then install but I still get messages that I need
to install kb 832483.I was told on another post to install mdac2.8.I
downloaded mdac 2.8 and installed.then I tried to download kb832483 which
the ms site said I needed to update .while downloading loading and
installing ,I got a message" mdac hotfix installer has encountered a
problem and needs to close." which I reported.then I saw a ms windows update
status which showed I installed it 15 times.I still get the message to
update kb832483 when I reboot.So I guess I got it but auto update doesn't
know it and keep bothering me with updates date messages.If I select to
update me I in 3 days,it just sends me message on logon.I'm running winxp.
If I run a search for kb832483 ,I get nothing,if I run a search on 832483,I
get"enu_q832483_mdac_x86(1)" in c:\windows\prefetch.
