transferring files from an old harddrive to a new harddrive

Did the new drive come with any software? All the drives I've purchased
recently came with a utility to transfer everything to the new drive. Maxtor
for instance comes with the MaxBlast utility also available here
http://www.maxtor.com/en/support/downloads/maxblast3.htm one of who's
features is "The copy feature (which) lets you make an exact duplicate of
your existing hard drive." (among other things)
