I recently purchased a Dell with XP Pro, a 48xMax CD-rw
and a 16xDVD-rom drive. I find the software that came
with XP for burning the CD is extremely slow. The new
Nero 6 is more than I need. Any suggestions for another
software package that burns CD's and is as good.
Thank You.

I have tried a few. I just downloaded a free one that seems to be as good if
not better. It is called Burn4Free. Run a search and give it a try.

Normally a Dell PC with a CD or DVD RW will have some type of 3rd party
writer software, both of mine came with a Lite version of Easy CD Creator
and/or Easy CD & DVD Creator.

Have you tried Nero Express? You should find it in the Programs->Nero
directory. It is very simple to use.
