Whenever I drag files over to the CD drive so I can burn them, I get an
error and it deletes my original files. Anyone know a fix for this? No, I
don't have any viruses or anything like that. I think it's a software
incompatibility. I'm running WinXP Pro.

The exact error message is the following:

The dialog box says PROBLEM COPYING.

It then reads:

Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What do you
want Windows to do?

xxxxxxxxxxxx.avi

Retry Cancel

Thanks,
victor

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: CD RECORDING , and hit enter.
The click on the topic titled: "Copy Files and Folders to a CD".
