View Full Version : Ejecting DVD+RW takes minutes

Minor irritant. In learning to use my new DVD+RW drive, I have encountered
an irritant. When requesting an eject via Windows Explorer, a message
appears saying it will take 1 to 4 minutes to process - it takes about 1
minute.

The data have already been written to the DVD - I checked. The DVD was
written using packets and was formatted by Roxio CD Creator.

Anyone have any idea why it takes more than a few seconds?

TIA

There are other tasks that need to be done besides writing file copies,
such as updating the disc's TOC (table of contents) and indexes. A slight
delay for housekeeping before ejecting is normal.
