need usb2 hub?

I have a usb hub with 4 ports. Do I need a new one to be able to take
advantage of usb2 with my new laptop that has usb2? Thanks.

If the current hub is USB 1.1 it will work with a USB 2.0 port on the laptop
but at only 1.1 speeds.

To achieve the full benefit of USB 2.0 you will have to purchase a 2.0 hub
AND USB 2.0 cables. (Some 1.1 cables will transmit at 2.0 speeds but some
just choke on the speed of 2.0).
