pop ups through explorer

Just recently Internet explorer has been having so many
pop ups that I can't seem to get rid of them and it
freezes my computer and I have to un plug it does any
body know what this is? Please help. Thank you Delores

To prevent pop-ups,
1. Disable Active Scripting in Internet Explorer

2. Run Ad-Aware and scan the system for browser hijackers/spyware
