I got this problem I cant fix…

I've got 2 hd's : C is an ATA, and D is my S-ATA
My OS and all other programs are installed on my C. My D I use only
for data.
Both NTFS. I run XP.

The problem is this: D is 74.5 GB and disk properties tell me that
71.3 is used and 3.16 is still free.
But when I select all my files on D, their size is 63,1 GB
(67.814.553.290 bytes), and disk size : 63,1 GB (67.823.587.328 bytes)

So somewhere I lost a lot of disk space and I think it is too much for
a cluster-thing isn't it?
Who can tell me where it is and how I can get it back somehow…

Deef,

This is a guess but do you have System Restore running on this drive? To
check if you do open the System Properies dialog (right click My Computer
and then select Properties). Switch to the 'System Restore' tab sheet and
see what the status is for that drive letter. If it is turned on then this
would account for the missing space. If it is turned on then this
information is stored in a super hidden folder on the root of the drive in a
folder called 'System Volume Information.' If you just turn off System
Restore on this drive it should return the drive space.

I hope this helps,
