TweakUI

When I used TweakUI to get rid of the arrows on my desktop short cuts, low and behold It did that but made all my nice XP icons into , like 98, folders included. Any help in a restore to previous Pre-Tweak would be greatly appreciated.

Try doing a System Restore, Darnko,
Select a date previous to using TweakUI.

Darnko,

It may not be due to the "shortcut arrow" feature, but the 'repair =
icons' feature causes this. =20
Start - Run - Regedit Goto
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

And in the right pane double click on 'Shell Icon BPP' and set the =
value to 16

Common issue, run the repair on line 4 here:

And then apply the Shortcut edit or make the change manually.

Remove Icon Shortcut Symbols (Line 185)

Manual:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Scroll on down to Pifile. In the right pane, rename
ISSHORTCUT to read SHORTCUT.
