Hi

I have a question on capture DV video from my camera. Currently I have
Pinnacle Studio 8 and Microsoft Mover Maker installed in my computer. I can
capture video using both software via IEEE 1394 port.

When I capture video using Movie Maker, the shooting date will shows on each
clip. But Pinnacle doesn't. I like use Pinnacle to edit video, but I also
need the shooting date information for each clip. It sounds stupid that
capture the whole tape use Mover Maker to get shooting date, and capture it
again using Pinnacle.

I have tried to save captured clips into avi file, and read it into
Pinnacle. But seems Pinnacle can not read the avi file created by Mover
Maker.

Does anybody have any solution on this?

Thanks

Henry

Windows Movie Maker will only capture to .wmv format. The movie can be saved
as .wmv or DV-avi. If you want to save as mpeg I suggest you use a different
capture utility.

Thanks for reply.

I got the solution. Mover Maker file is DV-AVI 1 format, Pinnacle Studio can
import DV-AVI 2 format file. I used "Canopus DV File Converter" convert
video file from DV-AVI 1 to DV-AVI 2 format, then import to Pinnacle, it
works.

Thanks
