any help from anyone on how to retrieve my
cd from my computer?
It will not respond to the open button.

Ted,
Near the 'open' button, on the player facia, you will see a small pinhole.
Unfold a paperclip (or something of a similar diameter) and - being careful
to keep it straight - push it into the hole.
You'll feel it engage the mechanism about 30-40 cms in.
It will unlock the drawer mechanically, allowing you to retrieve your CD.
Also handy when you've just powered down and then realise your CD's still in
there.
