true type font problem

when loading a true type font it has a series of blocks
before the type. I cannot print the type just these boxes
in front. Whats up??

All fonts? Fonts are not made equal, there are some very shoddy fonts floating around
out there. Are you installing the fonts through your font folder? Download Tweak UI,
it has a font folder repair utility.

If you are having printing problems you might do well to look around for an updated
driver.
