Hello, my dad recently purchased a computer for me for
university and i have Microsoft XP...My first question is
how can i change the language of teh desktop (english to
french and vice-versa) once everything has been installed.
My second question, and most important one, is is there a
way to have my spell check in Works word processing in
both english AND french at the same time (or even switch
between them at will) because i will be needing both for
University. Please, any help would be great. thanks.

One cannot change the language version of Windows XP.
You must purchase the "Full French Version" of Windows XP,
reformat your drive and install it "clean". The alternative is to
create a dual-boot configuration which requires an available,
empty partition. You can purchase and use Partition Magic 8
(www.powerquest.com) to accomplish this.
If you have a desktop computer, or a notebook computer that
will accept a second hard drive, you can install a second hard
drive and install the "Full French Version" on it and end up
with a dual language boot configuration.
Cannot Upgrade or Install a Different Language Version of Windows XP
