View Full Version : How to change Windows XP language to English

Kumaran
February 4th 04, 03:28 PM
Dear friends,
I have recently bought a laptop with German Windows XP Home Edition.
I would like change the language from German to English.
Is there any language patch / update available ?
Please guide me if some of you has done this already.

Best Regards
Kumaran

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you want, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

Welcome to WorldLanguage.com!

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

You'll need to buy English version of XP. XP is not "multi-lingual".

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Rob, you final statement is not entirely true about Windows XP.
For the original poster that is the case, but the MUI is fully
multi-lingual on Windows XP.
