I accidentally deleted a few programs under Accessories -
Paint, calculator and a couple of others. I can't figure
out how to restore them. I don't have the Windows XP disk
because my system came preloaded.

Create a new shortcut and type the location as calc, and then another with
the location of mspaint. This will give you shortcuts to Calculator and
Paint :-)

Everything in the Programs menu is a shortcut so you can recreate shortcuts
to replace what you lost.
Paint is located here C:\WINDOWS\system32\mspaint.exe
Calc is located here C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe
However the fastest and easiest way to restore all your lost items would be
to run System Restore and revert back to a date just prior to the day that
you deleted these. System Restore will not mess with your data. However if
you've installed apps or downloaded Windows Updates you will have to redo
those again if you run System Restore. Otherwise go to Start->Help and
Support->Pick a task->click on System Restore and run the wizard to Revert
back. If you want to learn more about System Restore before running it just
type system restore in the search bar on the Help and Support Center main
page.
